We decided to give Camryn a left-over cupcake right after breakfast the morning after her birthday party....She was on a suger high for over an hour. Here is just a sample of her CRAZYNESS. Enjoy the dancing, jumping and, singing and randomness. I would just like to point out that she is singing all of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and most of the ABC's. She is quite the little performer! She will be famous one day...count on that!

On May 20th, 2011, Camryn has turned 2 years old already.   Time has been flying.   We had a birthday party for her on May 21st in our backyard.   Camryn was a princess for a day, check her dress and tiara out.  She is sooo obsessed with Dora the Explorer, we hired Dora to come to the party and play with Camryn.  She was SOOO excited.    Poor Dora, it was a sunny day in the high 20's, Dora almost died of heat exhaustion!

We created a video from the highlights from the party and will post some pictures soon too.   Make sure you let it buffer (pause and let the bar fill), at 3mins of the video when Dora comes to the party... priceless...

A little video of Camryn playing the WII, dancing, and just being cute....  at 50 seconds of the video, it just makes me laugh everytime I see it.  Excuse the messy room...

The Story:
I am at work on my lunch break remotely connected to my home PC doing stuff, then I lost connection and could not re-connect.    I get home and I see WIn7 doing "Startup Repair" and rebooting over and over...   WTF, I was not doing anything bad, just reading a few forums.... I reboot and it starts the "Startup Repair" again, so I let it go.....   Then I am heading up the stairs and see my wife on her laptop, and Wn7 is doing the samething, "Startup Repair."   OMG, what is going on.   Her's would reboot and start a Microsoft update which fails on 282, error C0000034, and mine just goes back to startup repair.

I am writing this because from me looking on google, I am not the only one (like hundreds, if not thousands), and I could help someone.

PC1

None stop "Startup Repair"     (6 hours, and kept rebooting itself)
reading logs and found "Boot manager failed to find OS loader"
I booted from the Win7 DVD and choose, Install, repair Windows, then the command prompt
I entered the following commands

bootrec /fixmbr

then
bootrec /fixboot

I reboot, and whoohooo   good to go.   I lost my grub boot loader (or maybe just as default) since I was booting Win7, and 2 Linux distros using Grub, but I can fix grub later.   Win7 has all my "important" stuff and now is booting

PC2
Error C0000034

I found this, and I must give credit, this work perfectly, and I must thanks to Sam!!!!!!!!

From
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/fatal-error-c0000034-on-boot-after-service-pack-1/5f7127e8-9887-4f01-aaa5-9729b69544b7

- Open the recovery console (boot from a Win7 DVD, Install, then choose repair a Windows installation, then choose Command Prompt)

- Change working directory to whatever the root folder of the Windows install is (might be D: or some other letter for some people):

cd /d C:\windows\system32\config

Rename the following files by typing the following:

ren default default.old
ren sam sam.old
ren security security.old
ren software software.old
ren system system.old

- Change the working directory:

cd regback

- Copy the files from this directory to the previous directory as follows:

copy default c:\windows\system32\config
copy sam c:\windows\system32\config
copy security c:\windows\system32\config
copy software c:\windows\system32\config
copy system c:\windows\system32\config

- Having done this, I restarted my computer, and it booted all the way with no errors. However, it seemed somewhat unstable, so I booted into Safe Mode and ran CHKDSK (chkdsk /B) and conducted a normal system restore to before the service pack install using the normal method. To fix remaining problems, I ran sfc /scannow. My computer now seems to be running as well as ever.

Hope this helps,

Sam

We have a new little addition to the family.   A Holland Lop rabbit named FooFoo.   Camryn named her after the children's poem Little Bunny FooFoo.    She is a grey/blue colour, one of the cutest bunny's I have seen.    Camryn is in just love with her new bunny.   She has been obsessed with the wild bunnies we have around our house, so Shanna thought it would be the coolest to get Camryn her very own rabbit.    FooFoo is about 10 weeks old.    She loves running around and playing hide and seek, and my little ponys with Camryn.

We went to see Music as a Weapon 5 tour with Disturbed, Korn and opening act Stillwell at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa on March 30th, 2011.   Prior to the show, my wife went to International Musicland in Barrhaven to met Ray Luzier (drummer of Korn).   She said he was such a nice guy, spoke to him for almost 10 minutes, got pictures, signed a drum skin for her, and she got me a poster signed from him as well.

Stillwell opened the show, which I didn't realize Feildy (Korn bassist) was their guitarist, and Wuv Bernado (P.O.D.) was their drummer.  Their sound and songs were very cool.  A fusion of metal and hiphop.   Their setlist was quite short, would have liked to hear more.   Their first CD comes out on May 2011.

The Korn show was awesome, but again too short.  They played only for an hour.  They made good use of their shirt time, playing most of their popular songs, but they did not play one of my favorites, Somebody Someone.  They made some minor changes to their songs, which would catch you off guard.  The band sound really good with Jonathan Davis sounds just as awesome, and of course played the bagpipes for Shoots and Ladders.   They finished their set with Y'all Want a Single.

Disturbed put on a great show too.  Their entire backdrop was video screens.   Unfortunately, not sure if it was where we were sitting but disturbed did not sound very good.. well mostly the guitars were too trebley, and not well defined.   David's voice was just awesome, sounds just like the CDs.  they played quite a few new songs, and all their old favorites in the short time they played.   They played just over an hour as well.   During the set, David pulled up a yound kid on the stage to talk to him (see video below).

During Disturbed, the guys next to us came back to their seats with a signed Korn shirt, and told us Fieldy is just in the hall!   WOW, we booted out there, and got to met Stillwell.   They were very nice, they were selling CDs for $20 to be signed, or a free poster.   We went with the CD, got our pictures taken with them.   We were both a little starstuck!   Then saw Feildy again at the merchandise booth at the front of the Scotiabank Place as people were leaving.   I am sure he was getting tired of the meet and greets by then.

It was an awesome show, and an awesome day to meet Ray and Fieldy from Korn, and the drummer from P.O.D.  Below are the setlists from each band, some videos of the show, and pictures my friends and I took (friends were on the other side of the venue).

Last night, March 6th, 2011, we went to see Lady Gaga at the Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.   It was a date night for us.  Our daughter Camryn was at grandma and grandpa's for the night, so we went to Baton Rouge for dinner.  For so many of our concerts we go to, it has always been a rush to get to the show, so we left for dinner before 5PM, thinking it was enough time for the 8PM show... Well wrong again.  We have learned reservations are key.   After being told it was a 20 - 40 minute wait, we decided to wait... still gives us plenty of time.  Well after 60.... 75 minutes, we begin to panic.  The manager gives us free drinks at the bar (whoohoo), and we explain we are trying to get to the show, well, he pushed us up on the list, we get a table, order, food there in less then 10 minutes and we are out of there in 20 - 25 minutes.  lol  That was awesome, thanks Baton Rouge!    So, heading to the concert shortly after 7PM, thinking we are good to go...  NOT!

Scotiabank security is searching everyone...  ok, it's Lady Gaga, give me a break.  They have one dude on each side to do the floor and 100 levels.   It took about an hour just to get in!  Maybe more.  They brought in someone else to help out later on, but dudes!  It is a sold out show, get some staff!  This is not the first time we had this problem if you read previous concert reviews.   The security dude was doing his best, but he needed help with all these people.  So if you are going to a sold out show at Scotiabank and think they may search, go super EARLY!  Actually, funny part is, waiting to be searched, have our little camera hidden, this guy has a camera around his neck...  ok dude, you are so busted.  Well, security says "Does the lens come off?". Dude "No", security "OK, go ahead"...  whoohoo cameras allowed, just not DSLR, super zoom, etc.  Sorry, enough about this...

We missed the opening act completely (Scissor Sisters) since it took like an hour to get in.   We just were looking for our section, and you could hear, "Thank you Ottawa" It sucks missing the opening act, cause you never know how good they may be, or the next big thing.  Oh well, lots of time to grab a beer (and a Ceasar for Shanna) and relax waiting for Gaga!

The lights dim, a huge video on the curtain covering the stage while an awesome dance/electo beat playing which goes into "Dancing in the Dark" (see video below), Lady Gaga on top of a stair case, doing silouette poses coming down the stairs... curtains rise, and wow...  all these neon signs, a creepy old car in the middle.   She opens the hood of the car and starts playing piano, it was too cool...  then her mic starts making crazy sounds, voice cutting out, sounded a little like plugging in a guitar into an amp while she is singing Glitter and Grease.  After the song, she get another mic, and says "At least you know I don't fucking lip sync!"

Then she went into "Just Dance", the crowd energy, and the show was so cool.  The curtain would drop and play another video, and within a minute or two, now we have a subway, with iron cages on the stage.   Later on, she has these huge cool trees on the stage, then near the end of the show, a huge monster moving around the stage...  WTF!  Her stage crew are top notch!  In the short time during these (very cool) intermisson videos, the stage changes so much.

Lady Gaga spoke alot to us, it is awesome to have that interaction.  The whole mic problem, 3 outfits breaking in the first 3 songs, but will still try to put on a perfect show as she says, Jesus must be here..  lol, just makes her that much more real.  It is a huge production, shit goes wrong (only in the beginning), and whatever...I think that made the show t hat much better...  She spoke about her own insecurities, being yourself, and had very nice insporational speaches to the crowd, gay, straight, different, we are all little monsters.   Actually, Shanna admited after the show she almost cried during one of her speaches.   I think Lady Gaga is an awesome influence, people may not understand right away, but she is proving something.  People think she is a freak, or whatever...  she brings something back to music, and that is the show, videos etc.  She is no way generic.

Back to the show... her voice was awesome (and not lip-synced.. lol), the stage show, the dancing in perfect sync, flying out of the stage here and there, wardrobe changes (wow), stage changes, the whole theatrics, and of course her awesome songs (which she writes unlike most other pop artists).

I always enjoyed Lady Gaga for just being different, a new spin on pop, great songs, collaborating with Marilyn Manson (ok I am a huge fan)... but after seeing her show, where she came from, her insecurities, I just have a whole new respect for her.  During her set, she called a randon cell number of "Karen" (I wonder where she got the number) in the crowd, and she spoke French to the person, who got backstage "for a drink and pictures"  I was impressed with her French, she know more then the Bonjour...  lol.

Last thoughts... Awesome show!  but it is not only that.  She sings (no diss to Britney, but she did not sing, her mic only turned on when she wanted to say "hey Ottawa" and you could totally tell, but good stage show Britney with Circus!)  Lady Gaga puts on a great stage show, sings live!, great dancer, and was truely an awesome time!

Lady Gaga is Queen Monster, and I am proud to be one of her little monsters!

We took show pictures from the Ottawa show here

Here are some videos (not from us) at the Ottawa show.
